The tension just keeps growing, it's not predictable and when it says you won't expect something then be sure that you will be surprised.

I loved to see how the characters evolved! And immediately bought the 3rd. book

Und weiter geht's mit der Geschichte von Haven und Bell und ihren Freunden.
Nachdem ich Buch 1 verschlungen habe, musste ich unbedingt wissen, wie es denn jetzt weitergeht und wie Haven es schafft, dass sie den Fluch bricht. Und wir erfahren auch so mehr über das Land, die Gegebenheiten und die anderen Charaktere.
Mittlerweile kennt man die Namen, man kennt das Land, man ist einfach drinnen in der Geschichte.
Die Autorin hat das wieder mal super geschafft und konnte mich voll überzeuge. Die Geschichte ist weiterhin Fantasy lastig, aber es bahnt sich eine Romanze an ... Mal schauen, wo die Reise hinführt.
Mich führt die Reise auf jeden Fall zu Buch 3 :)

Ok, so I’ve listened to the audiobook so can’t say anything about the editing but the story is just absolutely awesome! I want more people to read or listen to this because I want to fangirl over this series <3

Since I listened to the audiobook a word about that performance:
I never have any issues when Vanessa Moyen has narrated the audiobook, very fluent and clear. And the usage of different types of voices assure that the dialogues are a breeze to follow.

The Solissia (the immortal part of & it’s multiple races within this world) and Haven still have an unfinished and very challenging to-do list to break the curse and get Bell back. And the challenges ahead will be more dire than the events from book 1 now that they’re in the Ruinlands. This world is filled with darkness, it suffocates all light magic so it is not an easy place to be for the Solissia. Their group is made of all warriors that know how to push through the uncomfortable. And that’s inspiring.

It’s wonderful to see Haven and the Solissia grow towards eachother. The Solissia do have their reasons to dislike “the mortals” but they are slowly seeing more than a mere mortal in Haven. Although Haven did have to redeem herself at first in the beginning of this book after a mistake she made towards the end of book 1 with severe consequences for one member of their unusual team. She clearly knows she made a mistake and unlike many other protagonists, she really learns from it and steps up her game. She does whatever she can to do the right thing for others as well instead of only herself with her focus on rescuing Bell.
It makes for a nice balance between the nice interactions and the grim situations in this dark region.

The story not only follows Haven but Bell, Archeron and even Stolas get their moments as well. Stolas gets a bit more depth, there really is more to him than being the dark Lord of the Underworld.
I do love everything about this story, the world, all the different realms, the mortals and immortals lore but also every character. They all have their story and they were fascinating to follow, each and every one of them <3

I do want to mention this bit for whomever finds him-/herself struggle with the same thing:
I was a little bit hestitant at first to jump back into this story because for some reason I misread a few comments here and there and I had made some wrong assumptions about Haven’s (future) love interest. This is an enemy-to-lovers kind of love trope (although the focus is on the Fantasy aspects; the journey and the task at hand, you do spot the bantering in book 1 that can become a perfect match) but I feared she had jumped from one person to another and I seriously wanted to only ship the first one so I was relieved when I realized that this was a wrong assumption on my part and Haven isn’t shallow on that front (nor on other fronts, she really is all bark And bite lol).

I can’t wait to get to know her past, we do get a snippet here and there but not much. I really need to know everything because she clearly is not a basic human with her rosegold hair. But the void of information on that front is not annoying, it’s not forcefully held back, as I have experienced with some other books. It feels natural to only get to know more in a sequel but for my curiosity’s sake I do hope it’s revealed in book 3 lol. Recently heard this series will be 5 books in total, if all goes as planned, that is, nothing is set in stone of course. All I do know is that I need each and every one! Books 1 and 2 made my favorites shelf <3

I love this book series so much!
I had the 1st book downloaded on my kindle for months but never fancied it (don't ask me why!) And then decided to start reading it 2 days ago and have NOT been able to put it down! It's soooooo good! Most of the books I read are 1st person but this is 3rd, so took my head a little while to get into it. Once I did though, ahhhhhh. It's beautifully written. Characters and plot are amazing!!!
I can NOT wait to see what happens next!!

A story full of aching heartbreak, tantalizing romance, heart-pounding action, riveting adventures and insidious betrayal.

Things are heating up in this book. The twists and turns kept me constantly gripping the edge of my seat or in my case, a pillow.

Also, I read too many why choose novels to ever be happy if Haven has to choose between Stolas and Archeron. I want her to have both her mates.
