The wait is over! szn 2 of This Is How You Heal is LIVE! Today, I discuss personal development through the lens of identity formation, expression as liberation, living as your truest self through authenticity, intention, and intuition, and last but not least choosing your soul purpose over everything.

Today’s episode discusses emotional triggers and what they are, where they come from, how to recognize them/what they look like, and how to start working through them. You’ll learn how to be in tune with your body emotionally and the connection it has to your physical body, how to be in control of yourself and your reactions. No longer will you live in a space where you are triggered easily. When you train your mind to be calm in every situation you become so powerful.

How many more times are you going to light yourself on fire to keep someone else warm? How are you teaching those around you to love you? Do you truly love this person or are you attached? Today we’ll cover - how to actually accept the process of letting go, recognizing how our behavior hinders us from releasing trapped emotions that push us into these relationships, how to drop an ego view of the situation and view letting go as part of our universal connection and start of our own journey, and lastly the art of compassion and how important it is as the final step of the letting go process. You do not want to miss out on these lessons to help bring you into alignment with your higher conscious. Stay tuned - your transformation is happening!

In this quick introductory episode, I give a little piece of what you can expect from the This Is How You Heal Podcast. Full episodes are coming soon!

If your parents were angry, everyone in the family felt it. If your parents were anxious or sad, it disrupted your entire mood whether you wanted it to or not, it’s going to be your problem. Your parents' emotions become your responsibility. You now live in a scary space where there are absolutely no emotional or physical boundaries. You are not allowed to think about what’s best for you, your role is to please and take care of others. You are now responsible for others' wellbeing. If you speak out or act otherwise you are shamed, guilted, and hurt. Your parents' lives center completely around you. They overshare personal experiences and feelings in a way that creates unrealistic expectations, unhealthy dependence, and confused roles. They treat you more as their friend or therapist, relying on you for emotional support, and share inappropriate personal information at young ages that affect you developmentally. You don’t have a strong sense of who you are and you absorb other people’s feelings and feel like you need to fix other people’s problems. Let’s not even begin to say what this does to your relationships, friendships, and social development. If any of this sounds familiar - you may have been a part of an enmeshed family system.

If you’re quiet enough, you can hear it. How the universe speaks to us. How she mimics and reflects our deepest movements. Or maybe it's how we mimic her. As a child does with their mother. Looking at her as if she were the sun, the moon, and the stars. Speaking love and light onto her creation. And she uses her own language. She speaks in her mother tongue. Nature. Mother nature. And if you’re quiet enough. If you silence your thoughts. If you remove yourself from worldly distractions. You can hear her. How you are an extension of her. How human nature is an extension of mother nature. Mirroring her every action. Think about the last time you were angry, how your tears rushed down your face, how your body shook, just like a thunderstorm. In rage, in sadness, in a divine expression of nature. They weren’t lying when they said you were the universe.
Today we’ll cover the art of letting go and surrendering to the flow of life. We’ll talk about how you are a true reflection of the universe and how tapping into that can help you release the issues of this world such as anxiety, depression, control, and attachment that tend to take us away from our divine nature. We’ll learn the practice of truly and completely letting go and learning to live within the flow. The flow that was created for us to follow since the dawn of time.

When people cannot understand you, they will judge you. If you do not fit into their bubble, if you challenge their beliefs, if you start living differently than what they believe “the truth” is - you are immediately treated as other, as unseen, as wrong, as needed to be guided back. They will speak to their ego and say “ I am a good religious person, I will not judge them for the whore that they are, for the lost soul that I'm viewing, for the person who needs help. Never noticing how toxic, judgemental, and destructive to their own soul they are being. They will pray for your guidance back to the Lord. Prayers accompanied by commentary with fellow friends on the same wavelength. Unable to see people as individuals capable of finding their own truth outside of what they believe in, who do not need their tired prayers rooted in judgment, their own perception, the perception of their community, their safety blanket, their egotistical need to point at you to drown out the ill feelings that live within them that they continue to run from.

Today we’ll cover how to grow out of toxic spaces created by traumatized communities and gaining control over ourselves, our identities, and our lives.
