After initial WOW I couldn’t wait to mount it on my Ender 3 and start having some fun.
I also ordered original Creality auto leveling kit. Great design with one flat cable for all your needs. Found the right firmware (after searching a while) install it and it was done pretty fast. So far so good.
I started to test the functions and…. That's where the troubles started.
The hot end is cold and the printer is reporting error.
Tried the connectors again and again. When through google search aaaand. It’s turned out I was not the first to receive extruded that had the hot end not plugged in the board. Instead the connector was stashed under the fan.
Ok fixed that. Hot end is working.
Leveling.
A nightmare. I tried and tried and tried again and nothing helped.
The sensor would work on test commands but would not drop to the plate to level.
As last desperate attempt to save the 5hours of troubleshooting on something that for the amount of money payed should work out of the box, I used the ribbon cable that came with the sensor.
And a miracle. It turned out that it was “plug and pray” technology and everything works (for now)
Now I have a board bay clogged with wires, but I think I can try to print something.
