I loved this Baggallini, but I loved the blue one better because the pockets fit my needs better. I loved using the Try Before You Buy method when shopping for purses. I was able to put my phone and wallet and various stuff in each to see how it fit best. This tan Baggallini is a fabulous purse but my phone was too big for the outer pocket.
So I just want everyone to be aware there are 2 different styles of this purse, and you can't control which one you will receive. I didn't realize this until after I ordered. One style is the "classic collection" everything bag, and the other is the newer style. The newer style is easily spotted by the silver dot on the front snap pocket; the classic style does not have this silver dot. The main difference between the 2 is the pocket arrangement. To see what the newer style looks like, look at all the pictures of the Beach colored one. To see the classic style, look at the pictures of the Red or Black Cheetah print ones. The classic style has 3 main zipper pockets, the middle one is what's not included in the newer style. (The middle pocket has the credit card slots and a little sewn-in pouch--this is different from the removable coin pouch). The newer style does also have credit card slots, but they are in the new, large-ish zippered pocket on the back of the purse, which is not as safe of a place, in my opinion. (There are no pictures showing this pocket open but it has no other special features anyways; the Beach colored purse only shows the main 2 pockets opened). The 2 main pockets are identical to the ones on the classic style, they are slim and can't necessarily hold large thick objects unless you want a bulging purse. The 2 front pockets are the same on each style too; one magnetic snap closure pocket and the other has a zipper. The straps on each style are different though. The newer style does not have detachable straps and the straps are both attached on the same side of the purse, towards the middle. The classic style has detachable straps (unless it's a knockoff, so watch out for those), and one strap is attached towards the back of the purse and the other near the front. The newer style of this purse is quite a bit thinner, so don't be alarmed that the straps aren't attached in front and back.
I think that covers all the differences. I received the newer style and I'm now debating whether to return it, reorder, and hope to receive the classic style instead. It's a crap shoot and I don't know if it's worth it because the color I want is sold out, and I can't guarantee I'll get the style I want even if I do reorder a different color. Anyways, this is a really nice purse regardless of style you receive. Very organized, good/strong construction, comfortable strap, roomy enough for the basics anyone needs in a purse. For reference, in the 1st main pocket, I keep 2 packs of Extra gum, a travel size lotion, hand sanitizer, and pocket-size pack of Kleenex. In the 2nd main pocket, I have a travel size deodorant, travel size body spray, small flashlight, lip gloss, chapstick, and room for a couple other small things. There's zip compartments within each of these pockets for pieces of paper or bandaids (anything paper-thin). I currently just have a pair of scissors and some coupons in the back zip pocket. My wallet fits nicely in the front zip rectangular pocket; don't think it would fit anywhere else with how bulky the little thing is. My iPhone 6 fits nicely in the front snap pocket of the newer style and, from what I've heard from eBay sellers of this purse, it will fit in the classic style front snap pocket too. That pocket measures about 6 inches tall by 4 inches. Sorry this is such a long review, I just didn't see anyone else warn the public of the 2 different designs of this purse and it's a pretty big difference.
This bag is good to keep things organized. It has many compartments, a small zipped holder inside and a strip with an opening that I clipped to my key chain which makes it easy to find my keys. The design is very practical though not vey fashionable.
I love those bags and I am huge fan of the seller that make this wonderful bags I wish if their prices is not so expensive or if they give their customers a discount but still I am really their huge fan and definitely I recommend their products to everyone because they are the best of the best
I researched bags for months before settling for this one. It has so many outstanding reviews that I thought I could not go wrong. WRONG!!! Yes, numerous amount of sections and pockets, but it's not really the best organizer because, like one person pointed out, it has so many sections and pockets that you forget where everything is! Nothing worse than standing at a counter waiting for the lady in front of you to finish organizing her bag!! The main reason why I bought it in the end was the "supposedly" light weight. Well, the fabric is super light, no doubt, but the hardware is so bulky and heavy, that the bag, empty, weighs double than what my previous bag did! As I have neck problems I'm even scared to use it. The fabric is too flimsy and once loaded the bags loses its shape. But the worst design fault is that the handles get in the way when trying to open the zips, especially the right handle, being at the front. Instead of a main compartment this bag has so many zips that you're forever opening and closing to reach different sections, and the handle always gets in the way for this. The small zip pocket within the left front pocket is totally useless, apart from a lipstick (or similar) nothing fits, not even the fingers! I read on the description that the back pocket is supposed to have a magnet, but it doesn't, and anything can fall out of it. It would be ideal for large mobile phones that don't fit on the right front pocket, but without a closure it would definitely slip out. For me the worst issue is that the credit card organizer section is really badly designed. The card slots should be in the centre, quick and easy to access, but they're on one side, too close to the seams of the bag and hard to reach. This is my main reason for buying organizer bags, cards quickly accessible and visible. In this bag they are not, and it needs many more slots, like the model before had. All in all, so much talk about Baggallini Bags, but completely disappointed.
Good news for people who liked the organization of this bag but hated the way it accordioned away from your body when full, due to the strap being attached only on the back side, as referenced in several earlier reviews - they have fixed this problem! I just bought this bag, and the strap is now attached to the back on one side and the front on the other side, and the purse hangs straight and close to the body even when full.
Organizationally, this bag is perfect for me. There are 12 card slots and each easily holds 3-4 cards, in case you have lots of them. The card slots are along the wall of the purse that is away from your body (assuming you wear it with the pockets facing out), so if you are wearing the purse and you zip open the center compartment, you can see the cards facing you - hurray! There are actually more interior dividers and zip pockets than I need at the moment, which has never happened to me before. The large open pocket on the back is large enough to slip a medium-sized hardback book into. I love the magnetic catches - they won't wear out like the velcro on my previous bag, and there's no fumbling with snaps or buttons or buckles that require precise insertion. I love that there's no flap on top - flaps just get in the way when you have to flip them back to open the purse. You can easily fit a 7" tablet into either of the 2 larger compartments. The material seems durable and the nickel hardware is pretty.
My only concern is that the strap seems a little slippery - it is slippery webbing - a grippier fabric would be nice. I usually wear it cross-body, so it's not a problem there, but I did notice today that when worn on one shoulder, it has a tendency to slip off.
I've only had this bag for a few days, but I think it's going to be pretty near perfect for me.
I returned this item. I was excited to see a Baggallini bag at such a terrific price on Amazon. I had gotten a Baggallini bag at a resale shop a few years ago and really enjoy it but I wanted a bit of a bigger bag and black so purchased this one. Unfortunately, the compartments in the front were not big enough to hold my cell phone and the zippered compartments inside were not big enough to hold my wallet. I was rather surprised by the quality of materials in this bag vs. the one I purchased at a resale shop. The materials in this bag look like a cheaper version of my bag. The strap material is thinner and grooved where mine is smooth and more substantial, the zippers aren't as solid or big and the materials seems thinner. Could Baggallini be producing cheaper versions of their bags to sell at cheaper price point yet folks still think they are getting the Baggallini quality? I think I'll stick to resale.
