Sehr viele Geschichten sind enthalten. Ein bisschen schwer zu Lesen, wenn man keine guten Englischkentnisse hat. Leider ist beim Ebook die Kapitelauswahl total kaputt

The paper is a bit too white from my taste, and the font and line spacing seem smaller than standard. See the comparison in the third picture (left: this book; right: my other book). So I feel like reading scientific papers than a novel.. This product doesn't have a trial reading option, so i couldn't know what it looks like inside before buying. It would be very nice to have this information in the description.

Other than this, each book is small enough to hold comfortably. Printing itself seems good. Quite fast delivery to Germany given that it was dispatched from amazon UK.

The box set is very beautiful, but very heavy. There is only 1 book over 1000 pages. The font used throughout the book is also very small so might not be appropriate for people who have problem reading very small characters...

There are many versions of this book on amazon but the site compiles all the reviews for multiple versions into one product. The version that I have purchased is the hardcover book. I have to say, when I first saw the book in the box, I was astonished at the graphics and colors of the book. Much better than just seeing the pictures online. However, Amazon should really start wrapping book orders in plastic or a bubble wrap at least so as to prevent damage during shipping. Luckily, mine did not have any major damages, only a few indentations on the book's edges but I could see how some customers could have complaints about damages on theirs.

The book is thick since it's a collection of all Sherlock Holmes stories. I've only started reading the first 20 pages and so far I have yet to encounter a typo, missing page, or any flaw in printing. I've read most of the Sherlock Holmes stories and I personally bought this to start a book collection so aesthetics is very important to me and I'm happy to say that just on the appearance alone of this book I'd rate it a 9/10.

However, I also have a few minor nitpicks about this book. First off, the binding at the bottom connected to the spine of the book seems to be attached by a sort of glue. I don't know how long this glue would last and I dread the day that it would give and detach. The binding itself also seems to be delicate. Another would be the thickness and quality of the paper used. The paper is too thin to my liking and I feel like I need to carefully turn the pages otherwise I would easily tear the paper.

Overall, I thought my 20 dollar purchase of this hardcover book is a bargain. Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle is timeless and should be read by everyone. This book would make an amazing addition to any library.

I liked the packing and as promised it has both volumes of complete set of Sherlock Holmes.
The binding seems good, but given the size of it, not sure how much long it's spin would sustain. The font size is small and the pages are thin. I'm scared it might not last long. Over all, it's worth it to buy, as it is affordable and satisfies a reader in you.

I really liked the classic look and quality of these hardcover books. My only disappointment is that the set did not also include "The Casebook of Sherlock Holmes" with its 12 stores In order to be a complete collection. I had to order that book separately and of course it is not available from this publisher so it doesn't match the otherS in the box set. Also small note, in this box collection the story "The Adventures of the Cardboard Box" is located in the book "His Last Bow" and not in the book 'The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes" as it should be according to the online sources list of Sherlock Holmes stores.

I received the parcel 2 days earlier, and packaging was damaged but luckily books were in ok condition, everything is fine but dent are a bit damaged, alas it's Sherlock Holmes I m really excited to start a journey in 18s and also I bought this set and 1 more book but didn't even get 1 bookmark, not so satisfied as always 😐

Taking time out from work I thought I would read all of the Sherlock Holmes adventures and they are all thoroughly entertaining - from the more famous novels to the more brief encounters.

The short stories especially are pacey (and sometimes a little stretching in their results) and provide an interesting insight into the social times in which they were written - with many of the criminal motivations being as relevant today.

I was immersed from the very start and have finished with a sense of sad fulfillment - much as the great detective has on having completed one job and being in wait of his next.

Delicious reading and fabulous escapism.

Great fun and very enjoyable.
